Hyundai Elantra Review 2025

Spread the love

The 2025 Hyundai Elantra SEL Sport is a compact and elegant sedan. It’s design highlights style, performance, and advanced technology.

Hyundai positioned it between the base SE and the performance-oriented N Line. Thus, the SEL Sport offers a balanced mix of everyday usability and sporty flair.

Later, in this review, when I talk about Test Driving it then I will discuss another of its benefits.

Exterior Design

The Elantra SEL Sport showcases Hyundai’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design language, featuring sharp lines and a bold front grille. The gloss black rear spoiler and 17-inch alloy wheels enhance its athletic stance, while the sleek LED headlights and taillights add a modern touch. The overall design is both aerodynamic and visually appealing, making it stand out in the compact sedan segment.

Interior Comfort and Features

Inside, the SEL Sport offers a driver-focused cabin with quality materials and intuitive controls. The leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob provide a premium feel, and the sport seats offer ample support for spirited driving. Standard features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a six-speaker audio system, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The rear seats offer generous legroom, making the Elantra comfortable for both drivers and passengers.

Performance and Handling

Under the hood, the SEL Sport is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 147 horsepower, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). While not a high-performance vehicle, the SEL Sport offers responsive handling and a comfortable ride, making it suitable for daily commuting and weekend drives alike. The sport-tuned suspension enhances agility, providing a more engaging driving experience compared to the base model.

Safety and Technology

Hyundai has equipped the Elantra SEL Sport with a comprehensive suite of safety features. Standard driver-assistance systems include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a rearview camera. These features contribute to the Elantra’s strong safety ratings and provide drivers with added confidence on the road.

Fuel Efficiency

The 2025 Elantra SEL Sport delivers impressive fuel economy, with EPA estimates of 30 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. This efficiency, combined with a 14-gallon fuel tank, allows for extended driving ranges between fill-ups, making it an economical choice for budget-conscious drivers.

Pricing and Value

With a starting MSRP of around $22,230 the Elantra SEL Sport offers excellent value for its class. Its combination of stylish design, comfortable interior, advanced safety features, and fuel efficiency makes it a compelling option for those seeking a well-rounded compact sedan.

Conclusion

The 2025 Hyundai Elantra SEL Sport strikes a commendable balance between style, performance, and practicality. Its thoughtful design and array of features make it a strong contender in the compact sedan market, appealing to a wide range of drivers.
